If there isn't a heaven

If there isn't a heaven

A little girl died recently from my son and daughter's nursery. The circumstances are so tragic that any parent would struggle to envisage how they'd cope. I coped by creating a poem for her, and praying like anything that god and heaven were real.

If there isn't a heaven,

Don't tell me that you knew

I couldn't even cope;

For, i'd know not what to do

No second chance to hug you,

No glory ever more,

Where my love for you is boundless

And the sadness is no more.

If there isn't a heaven,

Where am I to go,

As my spirit yearns to find you,

Put past our loss and woe?

As I floated through the void

Love's energy is never undone;

There shall not be another

Whose love could rival, none.

If there isn't a heaven,

I shall surely never rest,

Until I make god, conjure paradise -

My love shall manifest.

If there isn't a heaven,

I'll never find my peace.

It's ok; have faith, believe,

Because our bond could never cease.

"James, do you ever fell like you need to come back down to Earth" - They asked. "No, I just want to find people to fly with me".
